Terms of service

1. The service

PDFTools provides online document tools and a developer API. Free tools are provided as-is. Paid plans add higher limits, priority processing and support.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• Process content you do not have the right to process.
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, quotas or security controls.
• Upload malware or unlawful material.
• Interfere with the service or other users.

3. Your content

You retain all rights to the files you process. You grant us a limited licence to process your files solely to provide the service. We do not claim ownership of your content.

4. Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance, and API usage is measured in credits. Overage is charged at the rate of your plan only if you enable it. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current period.

Credit purchases are prepaid and do not expire. Refunds are governed by our Refund policy, which forms part of these terms.

5. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service on free plans. Enterprise plans include a service level agreement.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new effective date.
